International SMS/Text Messaging

We have a number of international customers. All the features work the same way they do in the US with the exception of SMS. SMS is available for international customers, but it is done with email to sms. Most cellular providers offer and email address equivalent of your mobile number. Our other international customers are using SMS with When I Work in this way.

Most carriers allow email to SMS, which is a great solution for international users. The email address will be formatted using your phone number along with the carrier specific domain name: phonenumber@carrier.com. For a list of what your carrier email domain is, please view the email carrier list.

When you edit your Profile & Settings in When I Work, you can click the "international" link under the mobile number field and add your mobile numbers email equivalent.

Note: The two-way SMS features have only been tested on several carriers' email to SMS networks and may not work as expected when using this feature.
