Publishing the Schedule
The "Publish Button" and "Publish Widget" streamline how you publish the schedule.
Publish and Notify (Button)
Clicking “Publish & Notify” will publish the current week’s schedule and notify all appropriate employees that have shifts assigned during the current week. This makes publishing and notifying your staff of a new schedule very quick and easy.
Notifications. When you publish the schedule for the first time, both email and text message notifications are sent to employees that have shifts scheduled and whose alert preferences allow for the notifications. For example, If the schedule is published during an employees "sleep preference", the will not receive a text message about the new schedule.

Secondary Options (Publish Widget)
If you click the “secondary” options arrow to the right of the main “Publish” button, you’ll be presented with the publish widget. The publish widget allows you to indicate which shifts get published and who gets notified. Simply type the employee or position name into the “Recipients” field. The schedules for the employees and/or positions you indicate here will be published. You can enter “Everyone” to publish all shifts. Like before, you can also include a date range and publish the schedule for a specified duration of time. If the “Notify” box is checked, the selected recipients will be notified as usual about the schedule changes.
Notifications. Text message notifications about the schedule only get sent the first time the schedule is published. Email notifications can be sent subsequently after the initial publishing of the schedule. Only employees with scheduled shifts and appropriate alert preferences will receive email or text message alerts.

Publish Changes (Button)
Once a schedule has been published, any changes you make will not be visible to your employees until you click “Publish Changes.” This adds flexibility allowing you to fine tune your schedule after you’ve published.

Publish Changes (Widget)
When you make changes to a previously published schedule, you have the option to alert the employees with revised shifts via email. To alert employees with changes, click the secondary "arrow" button to the right of the "Publish Changes" button to open the publish widget. Here you can indicate who gets notified via email of the changes.

Resend the Schedule (Widget)
You can resend the schedule after its published via email to all or individual employees. Simply click the "Re-send Notifications" button to open the widget. Then, define who you'd like to receive the email notification and click "Re-send Notifications".
